Hi parents and caregivers

It's hard to believe we are now into the second half of the year!  We trust you enjoyed some relaxing, family time over the holidays.

We have really noticed an improvement in the reading levels of a number of the children, and really appreciate the efforts you are obviously putting in at home to support our programmes at school.  Thank you, and please continue doing daily reading, spelling and ring words(if applicable), with your child over Term Three.  It is neat to see the children getting excited about their progress too!

Term Three is traditionally a busy one as we lead up to Ag day, so please keep checking school notices in regards to this.  All animals need to have been born by now, in order to meet the criteria, and there is a plant rubric on the school webpage, if this is what your family is opting to do.

A couple of reminders for the coming week:
  • On Monday we will be having PE, so please bring PE gear.  This will be ongoing on Mondays for the first part of the term.
  • On Wednesday this week, your child needs to bring in their favourite teddy/soft toy into class for a maths activity please! (We will remind them as the week progresses too).

We are going to be beginning our Sculpture Art projects very soon, so we may be asking for materials and some extra hands to help with our construction- we will keep you informed!

The children have settled in well over the past week, and we are looking forward to a busy, fun filled term!  Please pop in if you have any queries or just to say hi!

Kind regards

Rachel and Jodie

Thank you to all the parents and students for the fabulous three way conferences over the last two nights. We really enjoy celebrating your child's success with you. Please have a safe, relaxing and warm holiday.

In Room 11 we love math. We work with a problem solving buddy or buddies and show our working and thinking.
