Celebrating Our Writing!

Craig Smith -NZ Author
This week Totara and Pohutakawa were very fortunate to have a visit from Craig Smith. He has written many popular and well known children's books. In Room 11 we have done an author study and explored many of Craig Smith's stories.

My favourite book was Kaha the Kea. My favourite part was when the kaka stole the gold earings. Why I like the book is because it is funny. I also liked the cabbage (brussell sprout) story. Why I liked is, is because the girl screams. I also liked how funny Craig Smith was.

This morning Craig Smith sang all of his songs. My favourite story was Square Eyes. I loved how he put lots of expression into it. It was really cool, it was also funny when he sang.

My Favourite book was The Scariest Thing In The Garden. It was my favourite because the girl was afraid of the brusell sprout. the Wonkey Donkey was funny too! The whole thing was cool, it was fun.
